About the Event
THIS PLANNED EVENT WAS CANCELLED
A California native, Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner began piano studies at age two and by the age of six made his orchestral debut as soloist. He made Juilliard history as the youngest-ever admittee, at 14 to the Bachelor’s degree and at 18 to the Master’s Degree, where he is a proud recipient of the prestigious Kovner Fellowship.
The National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts awarded Llewellyn the only Young Arts gold medal for music in 2015.
He performed solo at the White House for President Obama in 2009, and in 2013, for the Presidential Inauguration concert at the Kennedy Center.
A recipient of the 2014 Young Global Citizen Award, CNN International featured him on Connect the World, as the Connector of the Day.
